McNeill signed his tendered contract a few weeks ago and now has a new contract before stepping onto the field.
The Chargers and Marcus McNeill have agreed to a five-year extension that will keep McNeill with the Chargers through 2015. The extension kicks in after this season, he will make $630,000 this year.
Because the Chargers placed McNeill on the roster exempt list, McNeill was forced to miss the first 3 weeks after signing his tendered contract, which he did 3 weeks ago making him eligible to play for the first time this weekend.
