NFL News: New England Patriots Trade For Seattle Seahawks WR Deion Branch

News

The trade was finalized late Monday night.

The Patriots and Seahawks have agreed to a deal that will send WR Deion Branch back to the Patriots for a fourth round pick. The move comes almost one week after the Patriots sent Randy Moss to the Vikings for a 3rd round pick.

Branch is reportedly excited to return to the team that drafted him in 2002 and to be able to play with Tom Brady again. Branch was Brady’s favorite target when the two were together the first time, but Brady said he didn’t push management to make this trade.

“I think between teammates you obviously, if you hear something maybe you’ll say something,” Brady said during his weekly interview on WEEI out of Boston. “But at the same time, I never had a conversation with coach Belichick about it.”
