Hulk Hitchhikes back to TV, Cloak and Dagger to run away after

News

Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Marvel Television, Marvel Studio’s TV division, has several projects already in the wings.

Early in development is a Hulk television show. Longtime fans of comics or television remember CBS and it’s 1978-82 Hulk series, starring Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno. Secondly  Cloak and Dagger, the teenage runaways who combat the filth of the streets, is being developed as a possibility for ABC Family.

Hulk was one series off of a list of possibilities identified in May. Cloak and Dagger, as ever, came out of nowhere, and was not on the list.

Marvel began narrowing its list of possible TV adaptations in May. Other properties that may see the living room screen status are:

• Heroes for Hire
• The Eternals
• Agents of Atlas, Alter Ego (comic fans know this better as Alias, where private investigator Jessica Jones is a small fish in a big superhero pond)
• Moon Knight, the Red Hood
• Ka-Zar
• Daughters of the Dragon
• The Punisher

Hollywood Reporter also adds that Punisher may be heading to cable. Much like the movie universe, Marvel wants to move cautiously and focus on the franchises as they happen, to ensure the quality we’ve come to expect from the brand (at least since they went in-house). Also still up in the air is the question of whether this TV universe would tie into the share movie universe, or if the shows exist themselves as a different continuity.

Also, this reporter is wondering what a Hulk TV shows means for Movie Hulk and Mark Ruffalo’s future.
