Disney Interactive Studios is proud to announce that Disney Epic Mickey, the highly anticipated title exclusively for Wii, has been nominated for Best Original Video Game Score by the Hollywood Music In Media Awards (HMMA). In conjunction with this nomination, a new behind-the-scenes trailer titled “Epic Score” has been released which takes an in-depth look at the magical work of Jim Dooley, the luminary composer behind the score of Disney Epic Mickey and its powerful impact on the game’s atmosphere.

“It’s been a rewarding experience creating music that captures the iconic feel of classic Disney film scores for a video game that authentically celebrates the early days of the Disney canon,” said Jim Dooley, the score composer for Disney Epic Mickey. “It’s exciting that Hollywood Music in Media has continued to embrace the art of the game score. My work with video games and films has demonstrated the similarities of epic score in their sound and narrative. I’m honored to be selected as part of their group of highly skilled nominees.”

I like Comics, Wrestling, Super Mario Bros & Dead Space. Oh ya, and Scott Pilgrim.
