Deadline Hollywood is reporting that Brad Pitt is in negotiations to star in and produce a new film by Andrew Dominik called Cogan’s Trade. The two previously worked together in the 2007 western with the long-winded title The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.
In this new project, Pitt’s role is that of a professional enforcer who investigates a heist that takes place during a high stakes poker game held under the protection of the mob. Described as a comedic crime saga, Cogan’s Trade will be built as an ensemble piece like the Ocean films that Pitt was a part of.
Besides Pitt, another name that is being rumored as one of the co-stars is Casey Affleck, who Pitt worked with on Assassination of Jesse James and the three Ocean films.
