Danny Green Outpoints BJ Flores

News

Mt. Claremont, Australia – Top 10 ranked BJ Flores (24-1-1, 15) was a little too passive, a little too cautious to take the decision against hometown fighter, Danny Green (31-3, 27 KOs) today. The fight played out similarly in each of the twelve rounds: Flores would back Green up consistently, showing himself to be the bigger and more athletic of the two, but would leave the popular Aussie fighter more than enough time and room to counter. Green, to his credit, would counter effectively off the ropes and at opportune lulls in action throughout the fight, stealing rounds in the face of Flores’ frequent pauses in activity.

The judges’ scorecards were a little too wide, but all in favor of the correct fighter, Green: 118-110, 118-111, 117-112.
