10 thoughts (from a bar) on WWE Survivor Series ppv 11-22-2010

PPVs, Reviews

Hey Pulse readers, just back from a local sports bar after watching the WWE’s latest PPV the Survivor Series with friends and I thought I’d share 10 thoughts I had during and after the show.

1) Dibiase and Danielson could be a great in-ring feud as both guys can work and seem to have chemistry. But Ted’s lack of charisma and Cole’s continuing disdain for Bryan will probably hold this program down.

2) Maryse looked fantastic. I am continuously disappointed every week as the WWE gives her so little screen time.

3) I was worried at first that the Miz was going to cash in his MITB case against Danielson which would have been stupid at this point. Then I was puzzled that most of his promo was just aimed at Lebron James. But finally very interested in how he might factor in to the main event, which of course he didn’t come out for. So in the end I find that entire promo pretty pointless unless he plans to wrestle Lebron at some point.

4) Good stuff from Kaval and Ziggler in what I hope will just be the beginning of their feud. Despite the Vickie angle, Ziggler’s run as IC champ has impressed me.

5) I think the idea of Morrison wanting to fight Sheamus because he hates bullies is a stupid idea for a match or feud. However, the match was really good and I think both guys will come out of this elevated.

6) Cody Rhodes and Alberto Del Rio are both money in their gimmicks. But most of our table had no idea who Reks was or that Masters was still in the WWE.

7) Congrats to Natalya for not only winning the Divas title but also treating the moment like it really meant the world to her. And welcome back Beth Phoenix!

8) The crowd in both the arena and the bar seemed completely uninterested in the Kane/Edge match. This was a life-less match with a horrible finish in a stupid feud that cannot end soon enough.

9) I thought the tag title match was pretty entertaining and even though Santino is great it was probably for the best that Nexus kept the titles.

10) I was shocked when the main event ended like that. I just assumed with it being Survivor Series that the WWE had some wacky finish in mind. I guess good for them having their “hero” do the right thing but with the entire build being for a big finish the actual ending felt pretty flat.
