News

A lot of action in the rankings last month and with two more of our pound-for-pounders fighting this month, we may see just a little more shakeup before the year ends.

Inside Fights Pound-for-Pound Rankings

Last Month: 1
“Mayweather may still be the best in the sport, but he doesn’t seem interested in proving that anymore.” – Corey Willinger

2. Manny Pacquiao
Last Month: 2
“Manny took it to Margarito on November 13 and is already negotiating his next fight for the Spring of 2011.” – Trent Pusey

3. Juan Manuel Marquez

4. Sergio Martinez
Last Month: 9
“A big second-round KO of Paul Williams led to this big jump in our rankings. It will be interesting to see what the middleweight champion does next.” – Trent Pusey

5. Bernard Hopkins
Last Month: 5
“Hopkins has the chance to prove he’s still one of boxing’s best when he goes after the light heavyweight crown on December 18 against Jean Pascal.” – Corey Willinger

6. Wladimir Klitschko
Last Month: 7
“Wladimir has another opportunity to prove his heavyweight dominance when he faces Dereck Chisora on December 11. We all know Wladimir would prefer to be across the ring from another Brit, however.” – Trent Pusey

7. Andre Ward
Last Month: 6
“Ward had a rough go of it with Sakio Bika but figured him out en route to defending his WBA Super Middleweight title.” – Corey Willinger

8. Timothy Bradley

“Bradley will face Devon Alexander in Detroit in the first big fight of 2011 on January 29. Bradley last fought as a welterweight but is returning to his light welterweight roots.” – Trent Pusey

9. Paul Williams
Last Month: 3
“A hard knockout at the hands of Martinez has Williams looking down and out, but Sergio just caught him with a perfect shot. Williams is still one of the best in the world.” – Corey Willinger

10. Vitali Klitschko
Last Month: 10
“Vitali will be looking at the winner of Odlanier Solis-Ray Austin on December 17 for his next mandatory defense of 2011. Of course, like all Klitschkos, he’d like a shot at David Haye first.” – Trent Pusey
