After his previous opponent, Melvin Guillard, stepped up to face Evan Dunham in the main event of UFC Fight Night 23: UFC Fight for the Troops 2, Yves Edwards didn’t have to wait long for a new opponent. The Ultimate Fighter: Team GSP vs. Team Koscheck cast member Cody McKenzie has agreed to step in and face Yves Edwards at the Fight for the Troops 2 show in January. McKenzie secured a victory in his tenth consecutive bout (all via guillotine choke!) over Aaron Wilkinson at last weekend’s The Ultimate Fighter 12: Team GSP vs. Team Koscheck Finale.
“Fight for the Troops 2″ takes place January 22 at Fort Hood in Killeen, TX and will air live on Spike TV.
