With The Avengers shaping up nicely, and the cast being pretty superstar filled, it was only a matter of time before some of the secondary or tertiary characters started getting the publicly known cut from the script. And by characters, I mean Iron Man’s Gwyneth Paltrow, who played the infinitely versatile Pepper Potts. Now, when I say infinitely versatile, I mean not only is she a secretary, and a love interest, but don’t forget she also got promoted to the CEO of Stark Industries. She’s a major character, and she’s also one that won’t be in The Avengers. How do we know this? Because Paltrow said so herself.
Check out her Goopyness spitting out verbage, and let her lay it out for you the best way someone can.
“I think they’re starting shooting soon and they probably would have asked me by now.”
I think that’s a pretty good hint. Then again, I figure Paltrow commands a decent enough salary that bringing her in for maybe ten, fifteen minutes of screen time is probably just not that worth it. Spend the big money on the big names that are going on the poster.
I mean, I have no clue, but that’s my assumption.
