Reviews, Shows, Top Story, TV Shows

Welcome to Inside Pulse Wrestling’s Live Coverage of WWE Monday Night RAW!

We open right away with our first presenter, former WCW World Champion David Arquette! He’s here to give the award for Shocker of the Year.

Nominees are: The Miz cashes in Money in the Bank, becomes WWE Champion; The Nexus debuts; Paul Bearer turns on The Undertaker; and Randy Orton punts Chris Jericho in the head.

The winner is the debut of the Nexus! Wade Barrett comes out to accept the award. He says he will make his decision about whether or not to rehire John Cena by the end of the night. The Raw GM interrupts and has Michael Cole announce that Barrett will take on Smackdown’s Big Show!

MATCH #1: Wade Barrett vs. Big Show

Barrett avoids Show in the early going, and then goes after his eyes to blind the giant. Not much happens and then Show comes back so Barrett takes his Slammy and gets counted out.

WINNER – Big Show via countout

Next up is the Despicable Me award. Kelly Kelly and Tyson Kidd (and Jackson Andrews) are here to present. Nominees are: CM Punk sings “Happy Birthday” to Ret Mysterio’s daughter; Drew McIntyre faces and humiliates Teddy Long; Kane buries The Undertaker alive; and Mr. McMahon makes truce with Bret Hart, then kicks him in the groin.

The winner is CM Punk! His reaction and celebration with Michael Cole is an awesome touch. He is smarmy at first, but then switches gears and reveals that there is someone backstage who has a grudge with, and he will be coming for revenge. That sounds intriguing.

MATCH #2: Kofi Kingston & United States Champion Daniel Bryan (w/ the Bella Twins) vs. Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler (w/ Vickie Guerrero) & Ted DiBiase (w/ Maryse)

Back from commercial with Ziggler in control of Bryan. Ziggler and DiBiase keep Bryan isolated in their half of the ring. Bryan comes back with a knockdown and tags are made. Kingston is on fire, taking Ziggler down and hitting the Boom Drop. He then nails the Trouble in Paradise to get the pin.

WINNERS – Kofi Kingston & Daniel Bryan

Later tonight, John Morrison faces Sheamus!

WWE Tag Team Champions Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov are here to present the award for Guest Star Shining Moment of the Year. The nominees are: Wayne Brady gets RKO’d by Randy Orton; Pee-wee Herman vs. The Miz; Mike Tyson punches out Chris Jericho; and William Shatner sings WWE Entrances.

The winner is Pee-wee Herman, who joins us via satellite to accept his Slammy. He goes on for a while and Punk is agog that Shatner didn’t win.

Backstage, David Otunga and the rest of Nexus want to know what Wade Barrett is going to do about the John Cena problem. Barrett says now he knows exactly what he’s going to do.

This Saturday, Tribute to the Troops on NBC!

MATCH #3: Mark Henry vs. Cody Rhodes

Rhodes tries to avoid Henry, but soon succumbs to his overwhelming power. The Dashing One gets upset and clips Henry’s knee, then stomps away at him. Rhodes locks on a chinlock. Henry comes back and throws Rhodes around. He hits a Rikishi Butt Splash in the corner but when he tries another charge Rhodes moves out of the way. Rhodes hits the Beautiful Disaster kick. He then goes up to the second rope and hits a knee to the back to get the pin. That’s what he’s using for a finish now?

WINNER – Cody Rhodes

The next award is the Holy Shit Move of the Year, presented by Jerry Lawler and Vickie Guerrero. The nominees are: Kofi Kingston hits Drew McIntyre with a leg drop off ladder through announce table; John Cena sends Batista onto a car and through the stage with two Attitude Adjustments; Randy Orton delivers RKO to a flying Evan Bourne; and John Morrison dives off set onto Daniel Bryan and The Miz.

John Cena wins the award, but since he’s fired he can’t be here to accept it himself. So Wade Barrett shows up and challenges Cena to come out and take the Slammy from him. He tries to announce his decision but appears to be having second thoughts. He tells Cena to come out and face him before he will reveal his decision. Cena makes his way though the crowd, and they LOVE him in New Orleans. Barrett rehires Cena, on two conditions. First, Cena has to fight him in a Chairs match on the TLC pay-per-view. And second, he has to fight David Otunga tonight. Then the Nexus attack Cena, leaving him prone to two chair shots from Barrett.

David Arquette is here to present the award for WWE Universe Reaction of the Year. The nominees are some real reactions of fans to certain events that took place. As if anyone else could have won this, the “Angry Miz Girl” wins the award and is actually there to accept it! She gives a meager thank you, and the Miz makes his way out! He mocks the girl and sends her back to the locker room. Miz then makes his way to the ring to talk about beating Randy Orton on PPV this Sunday. The Raw GM interrupts and says that both Miz and Orton will face former champions tonight. Miz’s opponent is Rey Mysterio!

MATCH #4: The Miz vs. Rey Mysterio

Miz is the aggressor early on, but Mysterio weathers the storm and sends the WWE Champion to the floor, and then wipes him out with a dive. We cut to commercial.

Back from the break Mysterio is in control, and sort of hits a bulldog. Mysterio dropkicks Miz into the 619 position, and Alberto Del Rio comes out. The distraction allows Miz to drop Mysterio face first on the ring apron. Back in the ring Miz covers but only gets two. Miz goes for a superplex but Mysterio knocks him down and hits the seated senton and a cross body block for two. Mysterio once again gets position for the 619. Del Rio tries to interfere but it backfires. A third time Rey goes for the 619 but Del Rio trips him up and Miz gets a rollup for three.

WINNER – The Miz

The Raw GM has written another e-mail, and Cole announces that Randy Orton will have to wrestle a handicap match against Alex Riley & David Arquette!

Here to present the award for “Oh Snap” Meltdown of the Year is nine-time World Champion Edge. He then announces Christian as his co-presenter! The nominees are: Big Show destroys Jack Swagger’s trophies; Edge destroys the Raw GM’s computer; Alberto Del Rio injures Rey Mysterio’s arm with a steel chair; and Batista quits WWE.

The winner is Edge. They do a funny little bit where Christian teases Edge, and then Edge calls Michael Cole a massive tool.

MATCH #5: King Sheamus vs. John Morrison

Sheamus attacks first, but Morrison responds in kind. They roll around on the mat brawling and the referee can’t seperate them, so he calls for a double DQ. More referees come out and the people chant “let them fight!” The GM is back to announce that these two will face each other in a #1 Contender’s match at TLC, and it will be a ladder match! Sheamus is none too happy about it and makes Morrison pay by ramming a ladder into his midsection. He leaves the ladder set up at ringside and hurls Morrison onto it! That looked sick.

WINNER – Double disqualification

Here to present for Knucklehead Moment of the Year is the natural pairing of JTG and William Regal. The nominees are: Big Show unmasks a bald CM Punk; Santino Marella gets out-danced by Vladimir Kozlov; Beth Phoenix eliminates The Gerat Khali from the Royal Rumble; and Lay-Cool gets beaten by Mae Young.

The winners are Lay-Cool and they are very excited about winning the award. This segues nicely into the battle royal to decide Diva of the Year.

MATCH #6: Diva Battle Royal – Michelle McCool, Layla, Tamina, Natalya, Maryse, Brie Bella, Nikki Bella, Rosa Mendes, Alicia Fox, Eve, Gail Kim, Melina, Beth Phoenix, Kaitlyn, and Kelly Kelly

I miss the first few moments but I catch the Bellas eliminating Tamina. Both Bellas and someone else. Natalya eliminates Maryse. Lay-Cool team up to eliminate Kelly. Phoenix eliminates Melina, and then Layla. Ever sneaky, Layla distracts Phoenix long enough for McCool to eliminate her. Gail and Eve get tossed next and then McCool kicks Natalya to the floor to win the battle royal and the Diva of the Year Slammy Award.

WINNER – Michelle McCool

The GM announces that on Sunday at TLC, Lay-Cool will meet Natalya & Beth Phoenix in the first-ever Diva Tag Team Tables Match.

Edge is on his way to the ring to face Jack Swagger.

MATCH #7: Edge vs. Jack Swagger

Swagger takes Edge down and hammersa way at him. They go back and forth a bit but Swagger mostly controls the action. Edge makes hte big comeback and hits the Spear to get the pin.

WINNER – Edge

The next award is WWE Moment of the Year, as presented by the Big Show. The nominees are: Sheamus attacks Triple H from behind with a lead pipe; Edge Spears Chris Jericho through the barricade; The Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels in Michaels’ final match; John Cena counts 1-2-3 as Orton defeats Barrett and Cena is fired from WWE.

The winner is Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels in Michaels’ final match. The man himself isi present via satellite. He rambles on a bit, mostly thanking the fans.

Up next, Randy Orton vs. Alex Riley & David Arquette!

MATCH #8: Randy Orton vs. Alex Riley & David Arquette

Of course Orton dominates to start. Riley gets a little bit of offense in, but it doesn’t last long. Orton hits Riley with the RKO to get the pin. Of course immediately after the match, Miz attacks Orton and brings a table in the ring. Miz and Arquette set up the table and try to suplex Orton onto it, but Orton blocks it. The champ is able to escape, but Arquette gets left with Orton and powerbombed through the table!

WINNER – Randy Orton

Michael Cole is out to announce the “And I quote” Line of the Year. This is a mix of good quotes and terrible quotes (mostly from NXT). I think my favorite is Jack Swagger’s “Do you know how hard it is for an Eagle to get medical insurance?”

The winner is Michael Cole! That seems suspicious. He brags about winning the award and then gets cut off by the music.

Teddy Long is out to present Superstar of the Year. The nominees are: Edge, The Miz, Kane, John Cena, Rey Mysterio, and Randy Orton. The winner is John Cena! He promises to hurt Otunga and then crush Wade Barrett at the PPV.

MATCH #9: John Cena vs. David Otunga

Before the match begins, the Nexux turn their backs on Otunga! They do some basic stuff and then Cena locks on the STF for the victory. Cena then grabs a chair and wears Otunga out with it. Otunga pleads with Barrett to come help him, but help is not forthcoming.

Show Over.

I grew up and now I write for Inside Pulse. Oh, and one time I saw a blimp!
