Brendan Schaub Not Facing Frank Mir? Meeting Stefan Struve Instead
by Shawn M. Smith on December 28, 2010

Despite rumors that Brendan Schaub would meet Frank Mir sometime this year, the UFC pulled a 180 and have pencilled in Stefan Struve as his next opponent sometime in early 2011.

Sportsnet.CA first reported the switch on Monday and rumored that the bout will take place on UFC on Versus 3 on March 3rd in Louisville, Kentucky.

Struve is coming off a co-main event win via TKO over Sean McCorkle at UFC 124 and is now 5-2 in UFC. Schaub is on a three-fight winning streak and is riding high after a unanimous decision win over Gabriel Gonzaga at UFC 121: Lesnar vs. Velasquez.
