In an interview with Entertainment Weekly for their latest Oscar issue, Natalie Portman has denied rumors that she would appear in either the new Superman film to be directed by Zack Snyder or Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises. Portman, who is currently enjoying critical acclaim for her work in Darren Aronofsky’s Black Swan, has had her name attached to both films as a possible love interest to one of DC Comics’ famed superheroes.
This is absolutely no surprise considering the fact that Portman has just announced she is pregnant. Don’t expect the likely award winning actress to attach herself to any extensive role for a film shooting in 2011.
Superhero fans can see Portman this summer in Kenneth Branagh’s Thor as Nurse Jane Foster.
