NFL News: New York Jets Appealing $100,000 Fine For Tripping Incident

I understand appealing on principle, but come one, it’s an NFL team crying about $100,000 dollars.

Last week the Jets were fined $100,000 by the league for an incident in their game against the Miami Dolphins when strength coach Sal Alosi stuck his knee out and tripped a Dolphins player attempting to cover a punt.

Jets spokesman Bruce Speight said that the team’s appeal was a “typical course of action.”

The Jets suspended Alosi for the remainder of the season after the incident.
