Minnesota is ranked 25th in the ESPN/USA Today poll and just outside the top 25 in the AP poll.
The Minnesota Gopher’s leading scorer and rebounder was arrested Monday night for allegedly violating a harassment restraining order by posting on a woman’s facebook page. Bail was set at $500.
“We are aware of the charges that have been filed against Trevor,” Minnesota athletic director Joel Maturi said. “Until we know all of the facts surrounding the charges it would be premature for us to have any further comment.”
This isn’t Mbakwe’s first legal issue, he sat out all of last year because he was facing felony battery charges stemming from his time at Miami-Dade Community College. He went into a pretrial program in that case, but never admitted guilt.
