Captain America Joins The Fight Against Suicide

Available  today via the Marvel app for the iPhone/iPad as well as Marvel’s own digital comics unlimited is a one shot entitled Captain America: A Little Help, written by Dr. Tim Ursiny and illustrated by Nick Dragotta. The premise of the issue is that a man on the brink of comitting suicide has an encounter with Captain America who helps save the mans life.

“Superheroes fight a lot of battles, but there are few more important than combating suicide,” said Tom Brevoort, Senior Vice-President of Publishing. “That’s why we’re making Captain America: A Little Help available for free via our digital comics outlets. If even one person calls this number instead of doing something very tragic, we know that means we succeeded.”

For those who prefer things in print, I Am An Avenger #5 is also on sale today in comic shops, and this story is featured as backup material in it.
