Full Theatrical Trailer for Battle: Los Angeles Just Plain Awesome

Media, Trailers

Over at Yahoo! Movies the new, full theatrical trailer for Battle: Lost Angeles has been released. And boy howdy does this look like a wild sci-fi action flick. Ever since I first saw the teaser I’ve been stoked to see it in full.

Jonathan Liebsman’s film could very well be Black Hawk District Los Angeles, as the film looks to combine the action elements from Ridley Scott’s film and have it take place in and around Los Angeles.

Aaron Eckhart leads an ensemble cast of young Marines who are brought in to fight the aliens, and they meet up with Michelle Rodriguez and Bridget Moynahan along the way.

The style is enough to make you go “wow” if only for its gritty look. Action should be great as well, but one has to wonder about a story. Hopefully they don’t include a love triangle a la Pearl Harbor.

Watch the theatrical trailer below.

Battle: Los Angeles is directed by Jonathan Liebesman, who previously gave us Darkness Falls, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning and The Killing Room. Christopher Bertolini supplies the screenplay. Sony Pictures will open Battle: Los Angeles in theaters everywhere beginning March 11, 2011.
