ROH News: World Title Scene, Dayton Show Lineup, New York Event Change, and more

The following news items were posted on the January 11th edition of the ROH Newswire:

ROH has posted an article on the World Title picture, which can be read here. To recap, Roderick Strong will defend the title this Saturday in Charlotte against Jay Briscoe. The winner of that match will defend the title against El Generico at WrestleReunion 5, in Los Angeles. The winner of THAT match will then defend the title on February 26 in Chicago Ridge against Homicide.

Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas have been confirmed for ROH’s February 25th show in Dayton, OH. Their opponents have not yet been determined. Click here to read the press release.

Also signed for Dayton are the following: Roderick Strong, the Kings of Wrestling with Shane Hagadorn and Sara del Rey, Homicide, and the Briscoe Brothers. Tickets for Dayton are still available and may be purchased here.

ROH has changed the start time of its March 19th event at the Grand Ballroom in the Manhattan Center, in New York City. Instead of the original 7:30 PM bell time, the show will start at 4 PM. Tickets for the event are still available and may be purchased here.

ROH has posted an article regarding its “Champions vs. All-Stars” main event for this Friday night’s show in Richmond where Roderick Strong, the Kings of Wrestling, and Christopher Daniels will team up to face the Briscoes, Davey Richards, and El Generico. Click here to read the article.

Mike Bennett will be in action at both of ROH’s shows this weekend. On Friday, Bennett will take on Adam Cole. Bennett’s opponent for the next night in Charlotte has not yet been determined.

Colt Cabana, who is currently participating in a storyline where he is seeking to face “fair” competition, will take on Caprice Coleman on 1/14 and Grizzly Redwood on 1/15.

Steve Corino is also scheduled for singles action both nights this coming weekend. Corino’s opponents have not yet been announced. Coming off his role in the Kevin Steen-El Generico storyline, Corino will announce this weekend “what 2011 has in store for him.”
