According to Newsarama this is hte last month that Archie will be using the Comics Code on their titles, as in February they will be switching to an “All Ages” rating across all their titles. The announcement comes in the wake of DC announcing their intention to leave the Code in favor of an in house rating system which had apparently left Archie and Bongo as the only publishers still using the code.
And then Bleeding Cool reported that Bongo silently dropped the code early last year!
So the question becomes….who still uses it, and how long until the name is nothing more than a memory?
