Rich Johnston over at Bleeding Cool has reported that it is his understanding that during Flashpoint, when title are supposedly being put on an Age of Apocalypse like hiatus with replacement titles filling in during the event, that Green Lantern will be among those effected. In the case of the Johns written and top selling (I can’t remember the last time it wasn’t in the top ten) title, it’s being rumored to be replaced with Abin Sur The Green Lantern.
Now, this has some pretty obvious assumptions that come out of it; like how in the new universe created in Flashpoint that Abin Sur didn’t die, which means that Hal Jordan never became Green Lantern. Though it creates questions like is the title going to be Earth bound, or what role will Abin Sur’s close friend Sinestro play?
I would be very interested in this book, if the rumors prove true. Johnston usually has a pretty good track record though!
