Disc News: Dogtooth Headed To Blu-Ray in March

Disc Announcements, News

Released on DVD this week, Dogtooth, the critically acclaimed  and Oscar nominated dark comedy from Greece, is headed to Blu-ray this March. Kino Videos will release the Blu-ray on March 29.

The film, which appeared in my Top 10 Movies of 2010 list, is directed by Giorgos Lanthimos and tells a story that’s either a deeply nuanced look at Greece’s cultural isolation or a really messed-up family horror that manages to combine the tonal aesthetic of Wes Anderson and David Lynch. Either way you want to look at it, it’s a whole heaping plate of crazy fun.

The disc’s technical specs and supplemental features are not currently known but Amazon currently has the disc listed for $24.49. You can pre-order the disc here or, if you just can’t wait, you can watch the film on Netflix Streaming today. Either way, watch this film. You won’t regret it.
