Okay so the big casting rumor circulating on the Net is that Marion Cotillard may be the next actress to join the cast of Christopher Nolan’s much-anticipated sequel to The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises.
My question is when does the sequel to The Dark Knight become the sequel to Inception. If Cotillard joins the cast, she will be reunited with Tom Hardy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Michael Caine.
While Cotillard’s representative told The Hollywood Reporter that no deal “has been confirmed…”, the rep did follow that with the word “…yet.”
So until something new develops, Marion Cotillard may join the cast of The Dark Knight Rises.
Cotillard, who will give birth in the spring, has been discussing scheduling issues. The actress was slated to star in David Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis with Robert Pattinson, had to pull out of the production due to her pregnancy and possible reunion with her Inception director, Christopher Nolan.
With the casting of Catwoman already complete, it is suspected that Cotillard’s role is that of Thalia Al Ghul, the daughter of the villain played by Liam Neeson in Nolan’s first Batman movie, Batman Begins.
