Fables and The Walking Dead To Get Downloadable Game Treatment

News

Telltale Games announced today that they have entered an exclusive worldwide publishing agreement with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment to develop video games based on two of comics’ most beloved titles of the past decade: Fables and The Walking Dead.

The deal includes development of Fables, and development and publishing  of video games based on the AMC cable network’s hit show “The Walking Dead”.

Word is these episodic titles will release later this year via Telltale’s site and other downloads services like Steam.

There’s no denying the success of either franchise, and one can’t help but wonder if other Vertigo or independent titles could have a future in video gaming. I’m admittedly a little zombie’d out on the gaming front, but I am intensely curious to see if Boy Blue and Rose Red translate to the media.
