Latest On Carmelo Anthony Trade Talks

News

Currently, there are two active offers.

The Knicks drop-dead offer, according to The Daily News, is Danilo Gallinari, Raymond Felton, Wilson Chandler, Eddy Curry, and probably Henrik Lundqvist for Anthony and Chauncey Billups. The deal currently hinges on the Knicks’ inclusion of Timofey Mozgov and maybe Sean Avery.

The Nets drop-dead offer, according to The Bergen Record is Devin Harris, Derrick Favors, Troy Murphy, Ben Uzoh, and FOUR first-round picks for Anthony, Billups, and stuff. The deal currently hinges on Carmelo’s desire to sign an extension as part of the trade offer.

These offers are both insanity. The Knicks go from the 7-seed to the 5-seed and lock themselves in to a second giant contract before the CBA gets redone and Dwight Howard, Deron Williams, and Chris Paul become available. The Nets trade their entire roster and all their picks to still be a lottery team.
