The Ducks addressed their back-up goalie situation by trading Curtis McElhinney for Dan Ellis. Ellis is 13-7-6 in 26 games with the Lightning. Ducks general manager Bob Murray said in a statement: “We are excited to acquire a goaltender of Dan’s caliber, someone we feel can help us immediately. He has experience playing in big games down the stretch.”
