Reviews, Shows, Top Story, TV Shows

Welcome to my first Superstars Recap as well as my first post for Inside Pulse Wrestling! I’m excited and I hope you are too. Lets get down to business!

Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater vs. Trent Barreta and JTG
Am I the only person that believes Trent Barreta’s theme music is way too happy? Like, too painfully happy especially for a wrestler. Anyways, we start off JTG and Gabriel in the ring, JTG takes charge early before tagging Bareta and continues to work in his favor before Barreta and Slater spar on the floor. Apparently Gabriel tagged Slater and the Corre teammates begin to dominate. Barreta manages to tag JTG and picks up the pace. JTG is taking charge until Gabriel lands a kick to JTG’s back as the ref wasn’t looking. Heath Slater gets the pin and the Tag Team champs escape with a win.

Tyler Reks vs. Chris Masters
We get a rematch of last week’s surprisingly good match as Stryker refers to them as Russell Brand and Channing Tatum? I don’t see it either. Reks dominates early before Masters switches momentum by hitting a Samoan Drop. Moment of the night: Masters stands on the second rope and waits to pounce on Reks, Stryker is asked what Masters has in mind and Stryker replies, “Um I have a feeling he will leap off the second.” Have I mentioned I’ve miss Stryker on Smackdown? His feeling is correct as Masters leaps and lands a shoulder block and the manages to lock-in the Master Lock. Reks becomes a ragdoll and Chris Masters wins for the second week in a row.

Santino Marella w/ Tamina vs. Tyson Kidd
The two dance around the ring until Santino threatens The Cobra and Kidd backs away in fear. Santino tries his best wrestling impersonation and takes charge early and then Kidd gets all angry takes control. Santino tries to fight back, airing two punches and failing, Kidd takes a bounce off the ropes and lands a punch, knocking Santino to his back as Kidd takes his time. Kidd starts to bully Santino a little and that gets Santino all flustered. Kidd lands a slap and Santino has apparently had enough. Santino takes charge momentarily until Kidd counters the hip toss and lands a kick to the head but only gets a two count. Kidd miss the springboard elbow and Santino comes back to life and manages to connect with The Cobra. Santino gets the pin and the win. Santino actually looked legit but what does that say about Tyson Kidd?

Now its time to relive the return of The Undertaker and then the actually surprising return of HHH. Looking at this for the first time since Monday, I noticed a few more things. First, Undertaker looked super confused when HHH’s music came on and then just proceeded to stare at him as HHH moved about the ring. He looked like he just forgot where he was. Secondly, HHH first came out and just emptied his mouth of all fluid as if his mouth stopped working and had to flush it all out. Also, HHH looked really wide…not fat, not more muscular…just wide. Also I found the wide-eyed gaze of the Undertaker after HHH’s crotch chop highly amusing.

Daniel Bryan vs. Ted Debiase w/ Maryse
The two men interlock fingers and throw their elbows at each other until Bryan lands a few kicks and picks up the pace and hits a hit dropkick but only gets a two count. Dibiase takes control briefly before Bryan catches another dropkick but getting yet another two count. Bryan locks Dibiase in The Surfboard submission move, which I always thought looked really awkward, Bryan then brings Ted down to his knees and pulls his head back into another submission but Ted manages to break the hold and takes over with a clothesline and into a commercial.
We return with Dibiase having his own hold on Daniel Bryan until Bryan breaks the hold, only to get manhandled by Dibiase. Bryan tried to put together some offense but Dibiase isn’t having any of it. Dibiase is rolling before Bryan pulls a backflip off the turnbuckle and takes over but its Dibiase who counters into Dream Street but is countered once again in a weird-looking pin but its a two count. Dibiase is thrown onto the floor and Bryan flies after him. Bryan brings Dibiase back into the ring but misses on the jump from the top rope. Dibiase tries Dream Street once again but Daniel Bryan starts to squirm so Ted just gives up on it and pulls off a back suplex but only gets another two count.
Yoshi Tatsucomes out in a suit with flowers behind his back which catches the eye of Ted Dibiase as Yoshi makes his way to Maryse. Yoshi gives her the flowers and asks for a kiss as Ted yells at Maryse, who responds by slapping him and throwing the flowers. Bryan then takes over and locks in the Labelle Lock and Daniel Bryan wins by submission. I’m guessing Yoshi didn’t get his kiss.

Well this has been fun, I’ll see you all next week!
