Tim Burton is pretty busy right now, but that hasn’t stopped him from taking on a new project. Burton is currently set to direct the feature film version of Dark Shadows and is producing Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter as well. All this work isn’t stopping him from teaming up with Josh Brolin to create a new version of The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Brolin would star in the film as well sharing in the production responsibilities.
With a script penned by Kieran and Michele Mulroney, who delivered the recent script for Sherlock Holmes 2, Warner Bros. can probably look forward to a more action-oriented period film, but there is no confirmation as to how the film will adhere to 1831 Victor Hugo source material.
One thing is certain, the Hunchback won’t sing.
