Dane Cook, Josh Hutcherson Do Horror In Detention Trailer

In the years since its release, music video director Joseph Kahn’s last film Torque has become a cult hit — renown for its (hopefully tounge-in-cheek) awfulness. This year Kahn will release his follow-up film Detention, a high school set slasher film with a sci-fi twist. The movie stars Josh Hutcherson and Dane Cook and is described as Back to the Future meets Scream.

The movie has gained a lot of buzz during its filming and now, in the weeks before the movie premieres at the South by Southwest film festival, there is a trailer:

There certainly seems to be a lot going on in the film and the film certainly seems to have earned much of its pre-release buzz. Inside Pulse will be reporting daily from SXSW so stay tuned for a full review of the film following its release.
