Pulse Wrestling Recap: WWE Superstars, 03.31.2011- Trent Barreta, Curt Hawkins, and 6 Diva Tag Match

Reviews, Shows, Top Story, TV Shows

Its the final Superstars before Wrestlemania so I’m thinking we should get a healthy does of replays, ay?

Curt Hawkins vs. Trent Barreta
The two men interlock fingers and its Hawkins taking control until Barreta counters off the ropes. The two end up in the corner, the ref breaks it up, Hawkins backs off and exclaims that he’s cool and follows that up by slaping Barreta. Barreta gets angry and responds with a couple chops. Hawkins slides out the ring and trips up Barreta and then Hawkins pulls him out the ring onto his face. Barreta is thrown back into the ring and Hawkins then kicks Barreta in the rib area. Hawkins stomps on Barreta’s chest and then goes for a couple but hardly gets 1 count. Hawkins has Baretta in a headlock but Baretta counters with a side-arm takedown but Hawkins responds with a clothesline and gets a cover for two. Hawkins uses another headlock until Barreta manages to stand up but Hawkins still has the upperhand until Barreta counters and kicks Hawkins in the head and Curt falls out of the ring. Barreta then jumps out of the ring and lands on Hawkins. Barreta throws Hawkins back into the ring and then lands a springboard dropkick and goes for the cover but gets a two count. Barreta goes for a Dudebuster DDT off the ropes but Hawkins counters and hits a slam and covers for two. Hawkins picks up Barreta but Barreta counters into the Dudebuster DDT and gets the pin.
Winner: Trent Barreta

We get yet another package for Taker/HHH, just in case you had no idea what’s been going on for the past month.

And its time to watch just how much the world takes notice of WWE when Snooki is involved. Following that, we get a recap of the bar fight last Monday. You know what? I don’t even have the energy to try to say something witty about this. You saw it, I saw it, lets agree to never speak of it again.

Seriously, who is Keri Hilson?

More replaying time, this time its a package for Alberto Del Rio and Edge.

Now we see highlights of Miz’s visit to Conan and Miz renaming him “The Ginga Ninja”

More reliving, this time its Rock/Cena/Miz from Monday night.

The Bella Twins & Melina vs. Eve, Natalya, & Gail Kim
Bella 1 kicks Natalya a couple times and goes for a slap but Natalya ain’t having it and hits a suplex and dropkicks Bella 1. Natalya goes for the Sharpshooter but Bella 1 goes for the ropes only to get dropped on her face but manages to tag in Melina. Melina mets Natalya only to get picked up and slammed back down while Natalya tags Gail Kim. And just like last week, Gail Kim gets thrown on her opponent. Kim takes control while we get an awkward closeup of Eve’s face. Kim goes for some sort of springboard move but Melina catches Kim and throws her down on the ropes. Melina brings Kim back into her own corner and tags in (I’m guessing) Bella 2, who takes Kim and throws her back into the corner and tags in Bella 1, who does the exact same thing and tags in Melina…who repeats the same…move…again and tags Bella 2. Bella 2 finally lets Kim out of the corner and tries a headlock but Kim mounts a comeback only to get dropped by Bella 2. Bella 2 tags in Bella 1, they double-team Kim and Bella 1 gets a cover for two and tags in Melina who plants Kim’s face into the mat and gets a two count. Melina goes for Last Call but is thrown off by Kim, who whips Melina into the corner. Melina goes for a leg-lock but is pulled of the ropes and dropped into the ring. Both women do the textbook crawl to their corners. Gail Kim tags Eve as Melina tags Bella 1 and to the surprise of no one, Eve is in control. Eve hits two dropkicks in a row. She sets up for the Summersault but gets distracted by Bella 2. Kim runs for the ropes but Melina pulled the bottom rope down and Eve tries to sell falling out of the ring (emphasis on trying). Natalya goes over starts fighting Melina and those two fall out of the ring as Bella 2 pulls the switch with Bella 1. Eve tumbles into the ring and Bella 2 plants Eve’s face into the mat and gets the pin.
Winners: The Bella Twins and Melina.

There you have it folks, two matches and a ton of replays and video packages. Not that I’m surprised nor can I blame WWE. I expect Smackdown to be much of the same.

Anywhom, hope everyone has a great week/weekend.
