Ryan Reynolds Deadpool Movie Finds A Director

News, Top Story

For the past several months it’s seemed as if the biggest hurdle for Ryan Reynolds Deadpool movie would be its director, as despite his other commitments, Reynolds hasn’t stopped bringing up that he’s doing the movie and Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (the writers of Zombieland) are confirmed to be writing an “R rated screenplay”. And while we didn’t wind up with a Robert Rodriguez directed film, we also might not wind up with a Brett Ratner.

Tim Miller will make his directorial debut with the upcoming film, having previously worked as visual effects artist for X-Men and X-Men 2.

As previously reported, despite the movie technically being a spinoff of Wolverine Origins it will either ignore the movie entirely, or settle for fourth wall breaking mockery.

There’s no release date set for Deadpool, or to my knowledge even a filming date, but it’s slowly coming together.
