Welcome to Inside Pulse Wrestling’s Live Coverage of WWE Monday Night RAW!

Justin Roberts intros Michael Cole, who comes out with a smirky smile and RAW opens proper with John Cena. He reminds us that we are ELECTRIC and that last week we begin the Rock/Cena buildup that will take a year. How come I’m getting the feeling WrestleMania 28 will be one huge April Fool’s joke? John Cena states that the huge match will be for the WWE Championship, but in order for that to materialize, John Cena has to beat the current champion. This prompts Randy Orton and his new “Apex Predator” t-shirt.

With all due respect, it doesn’t matter what he does, or what happens at WrestleMania 28…the fact is that he lost. Randy Orton asks John Cena to step aside and let someone else take the chance. This brings out John Morrison. He says that this reminds us how Cena and Orton is a re-run, so now he’s throwing his name into the mix. Let’s bring out Dolph Ziggler and Vickie Guerrero. Vickie gives us a late April Fool’s joke before deferring to Dolph who claims he is the most talented superstar on RAW. He states that since he never faced the Miz, the line starts with him.

R-Truth makes his way out because he’s been in the upper midcard for a while, even though I haven’t seen him anywhere in the past few weeks. The Gospel Truth is that he has never had a one-on-one WWE Championship match on any brand. The five stars bicker in the ring and the RAW GMail chimes in via his iPad. He invents a new concept called a #1 Contender’s Gauntlet. Two men will start and when one goes the distance, that person will face the Miz at Extreme Rules.

Edge has an announcement later tonight!

Eve connects with the turnbuckle, but that doesn’t stop her to put Brie in the Tree of Woe, Dropkick sends Brie out of the ring. Winner: Jerry Lawler
Grade: FTS (mainly due to the commentary)

Michael Cole argues with Jack Swagger. He calls Swagger an idiot and he slaps him for good measure. Michael Cole wisely leaves the ring and he walks up the ramp. Jerry Lawler stops him and he declares that at Extreme Rules it will be Jerry Lawler & Jim Ross vs. Michael Cole and Jack Swagger.

We recap Undertaker v. Triple H.

Commercials.

Edge makes his way to the ring as Jim Ross joins Jerry Lawler and Josh Matthews on commentary. Edge tells us to bear with him. He says that some people think that the WWE is smoke and mirrors. He reminds us about breaking his neck eight years ago. He knew that after surgery, he was on borrowed time. He passed strength tests, but after WrestleMania 27, he took some more tests and because of this, he is forced to retire. He mentions Christian and he feels upset that he didn’t end this on his terms, but he completed his career on his terms. He brings up being a part of the Universe before the Universe existed. He has been in the business for 14 years and he recaps his career. He would do it again if he had the chance. Huge “Thank You Edge” chants from the crowd.
