Hello people! After yet another break, “Desperate Housewives” was back with their 18th episode of their seventh season.

For some reason this episode had a striking resemblance to a season 1 episode. Nothing felt forced and even half the storylines are related to events we witnessed 6 to 7 years ago. While all of those storylines got partial closure, they also resulted into more drama surfacing. This is definitely a must-watch episode from the season.

My favorite storyline was also the one that the episode focused on the most. I’m very happy with the way the “mama Solis” storyline was handled. I’m also very eager to see how Gabby and Bree are going to handle Carlos’ new demand. It’s about time we see a relationship between two core characters, be in jeopardy. We’ve never seen this much of Carlos’ angry side since season 1. I’m assuming that things will only get more interesting. An added bonus is that I love seeing Bree and Gabby interact. They are polar opposites but their chemistry, for whatever reason, is very apparent (I’m pretty sure the two actresses get along too).
Susan’s storyline was quite cute with a touching theme to it also. While her long term storylines have paused, this one didn’t drag at all. The whole “why do bad things happen to good people” could have gotten a very cheesy and soapy treatment but “why ask” was a very appropriate and poignant answer.
Lynette delved into some serious desperation this week. Since this was the introduction of a storyline, I am curious to see where they’re going to take it. The Scavo’s never had money and material wealth divide them as a family (probably because they never had that much) so I’m confident it will add an interesting dynamic to the duo. It could end up just proving that Lynette is never happy, but I’m sure it will be more complicated than that.
The mystery storyline got interesting as well. Felicia has had more mood swings than a middle-aged pregnant lady. But then again she probably knows exactly where she stands. Paul kinda trusts her (more like kinda, kinda trusts her) but her plan could have nothing to do with killing or physically harming Paul. Maybe she plans on hurting someone he loves (if there’s anyone left). I’m betting though that the writers are saving that for the finale.
All in all, the show came back in strong form and I’m hoping the episodes remaining will be as (if not more) entertaining. I know I say this all the time but I can’t believe how fast this season has gone by. Just a handful of episodes left!
