Jane Lynch Finds Religion, Playing Mother Superior in The Three Stooges

Casting News, News

Jane Lynch may have tried to instruct Paul Rudd and Seann William Scott on how to be “role models” and was the manager of a Circuit City-type establishment that employed a “40-year-old virgin,” but most will recognize her as Sue Sylvester – the acidic cheerleading coach on Glee. The Emmy winner has signed on to the Farrelly brothers’ long-in-development film about The Three Stooges.

Lynch will play Mother Superior, the woman who runs the orphanage where the trio grows up. She will star with Chris Diamantopoulos (“24”), who’s signed on to play Moe. Will Sasso will play Curly, and Sean Hayes is Larry Fine.

Production will commence in May.
