The Final Destination 5 Trailer Arrives

The trailer for New Line’s Final Destination 5 has surfaced online at ShockTillYouDrop.com.

Despite its uninspired “The rules have changed” tagline this time around, the Final Destination series has been a small success for studio New Line. Before now, we would get a new release every three years, beginning in 2000 with the release of the first Final Destination. While the franchise has always been about its impressive kills, it wasn’t until the release of The Final Destination (the fourth in the series and the only installment to not be numerically identified) that the kills were done three-dimensionally.

Fans of the franchise and/or Tony Todd will be happy to know that the Candyman star looks to have more face time in this installment. Also, as someone who had LASIK surgery last year, the kill the trailer leads off with hits a little too close to home. Plus you also get to a glimpse at the opening disaster that sets into motion the chain of events. Click the player below and check it out.

Frozen‘s Emma Bell stars along with Nick D’Agosto, Miles Fisher and Arlen Escarpeta. Steven Quale, who previously served as James Cameron’s second unit director on Titanic and Avatar makes his feature film debut as director.

Final Destination 5 opens in theaters on August 12.
