The CW is the lowest rated network of the “Big 5”. It stopped airing original programming on Saturdays and Sundays a lot time ago. The same for the 10 p.m. hour Monday-Friday as well. That means they really only have room for 10 one-hour shows in the Fall. That didn’t stop them from giving the green light to 4 new shows, and pulling off a big coup by grabbing a show that the CBS wanted but didn’t have room for. Here is a look at their new schedule:

This biggest story this Fall for The CW is “star power”. Sarah Michelle Gellar makes her return to television and The CW hopes that Buffy fans will return to watch Ringer. They also hope that The O.C. will come back to watch Rachel Bilson on Hart of Dixie.
Of course, this lineup doesn’t include one BIG show that will now be pushed to mid-season . The ninth and likely final season of One Tree Hill won’t start until January, but there is no word which night it will air. Two other reality shows will also make their debut in the Spring as well.
Don’t be expecting Hellcats, Smallville, Life Unexpected, or Shedding for the Wedding to be on The CW, though, because they have ALL been cancelled!
