Fresh off of winning plenty of acclaim at Sundance, Michael Shannon-starring drama Take Shelter has a trailer that shows off the man’s acting talents.
Plot Summary: Curtis LaForche (Michael Shannon) is a young husband and father already busy with the demands of supporting his family, including wife Samantha (Jessica Chastain). But then he starts to have terrifying visions and dreams of an apocalyptic series of storms and other, even more bizarre events and starts to worry for his future. Soon, Curtis is channelling all of his energy into rebuilding the tornado shelter on his home property, which slowly starts to drive a wedge between him and everyone he loves. Is he going mad? Or is he getting a warning about something truly horrific about to happen?
Written and directed by Jeff Nicols, Take Shelter is scheduled for release October 7, 2011
