After today’s pre-fight press conference for UFC 132, Dana White responded to rumors that UFC would be returning to Japan. As recounted by MMA Junkie the UFC President said “”The rumor is true….We’re going to come to Japan, and probably soon”. Later he confirmed that they were looking to hold an event this year in what was once the hotbed of MMA although in recent years the Japanese scene has been depressed following the collapse of Pride and a generational shift away from sport fandom.
