Frank Trigg to Challenge Tom Watson for BAMMA Middleweight Title in September

Today, it was announced by BAMMA, that UFC veteran Frank Trigg will be facing off against BAMMA Middleweight champion Tom Watson at BAMMA 7 on September 10th.

The 14-4 Waston has retained his title with consecutive victories over Alex Reid and Murilo “Ninja” Rua after becoming the first Middleweight champion with a defeat of Matt Horwich. Trigg has a career record of 21-8, but had recently considered retirement after his latest UFC loss and subsequent release. Instead, Trigg held off retirement for a while longer and has been rewarded two TKOs Roy Neeman (Israel FC 1) and John Phillips (BAMMA 6).

BAMMA 7 originates from The National Indoor Arena in Birmingham, England. There are no details yet about North American broadcast/streaming plans, but stayed tuned to Inside Fights for more information.
