SuperHeroHype has it on good authority that both the teaser trailer and teaser poster for The Dark Knight Rises will arrive in theaters next week. The trailer is believed to be ninety-three seconds in length and will be attached to prints of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Parts 2.
In addition to having the opportunity to see the first true teaser for the much-anticipated conclusion to Nolan’s Batman trilogy, audiences will get to see the first teaser for Sherlock Holmes: A Games of Shadows as well as a the second trailer to Happy Feet Two. Warner Bros. has also prepped a trailer for Steven Soderbergh’s Contagion, but it won’t be included with Harry Potter.
Pretty smart on the part of Warner Bros. The Harry Potter franchise is the most profitable franchise in movie history, so it only makes sense to include a teaser for a movie property whose last installment grossed more than a billion worldwide.
Contagion and its loaded cast of Oscar and Emmy winners (Damon, Winslet, Paltrow, and Cranston) opens September 9th. The penguins of Happy Feet Two will dance (not march) their way into theaters this Thanksgiving. Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows arrives in theaters just in time for Christmas on December 16, 2011. The Dark Knight Rises will open in theaters on July 20, 2012.
