UFC 133 Loses Another Bout as Antonio Rogerio Nogueira Withdraws Due to Injury, Rich Franklin Pulled from Card

News

Sadly, another competitor has had to pull out of UFC 133 and his opponent will be removed from the card as well due to lack of significant opponents. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira withdrew from his UFC 133 clash with Rich Franklin, which UFC President Dana White announced via Twitter.

UFC 133 has already lost two main event competitors as former UFC Light Heavyweight champion Rashad Evans was originally scheduled to face current champion Jon Jones before an injury sidelined Jones. Undefeated contender Phil Davis was named in his stead, but Davis went down to injury this week, prompting UFC to name Tito Ortiz as the new headliner with a chance to avenge their UFC 73 draw.

UFC 133 takes place on August 6th from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
