SDCC: Marvel Confirms Incredible Hulk By Jason Aaron And Marc Silvestri

News

There were rumors going around the web the past week or so about a new Hulk title to launch with Incredible Hulks coming to an end, and Bleeding Cool (as usual) was correct in their report.

Today at the Fear Itself panel Marvel announced that a new Incredibly Hulk series would be launching by writer Jason Aaron (Wolverine, Scalped, Ghost Rider, Wolverine and the X-Men), and with art by Top Cow founder Marc Silvestri (Uncanny X-Men, New X-Men, the Darkness).

As for what he plans to do with the title, Jason Aaron talked about splitting the characters in the aftermath of Fear Itself and developing the Hulk as the protagonist with Banner as the antagonist, leading to a Banner vs Hulk confrontation.

Wait, what?

The writer plans to maintain the focus on the book with the new Banner/Hulk dynamic of them being separate entities, though not to say that there won’t be a supporting cast, Aaron plans to create quite a few new characters, including several for Hulk to punch.

And then there’s the little addition of Marc Silvestri on art, which is really the biggest selling point to me as I love Silvestri’s work.

This should be hitting stores in October.
