The more Roland Emmerich keeps releasing material for Anonymous, the more I keep wondering when it’s going to be revealed as an elaborate setup for some landmarks being destroyed. Or at a minimum how Emmerich can blow up Big Ben while making a film about the potential falsehoods in the authorship of Shakespeare’s plays.
After a teaser was released a short while ago, a full length trailer has been released.
Plot Summary: Trying to answer the question of “Who wrote Shakespeare’s plays if not the man himself?” plunges Emmerich into a world of Elizabethean politics and intrigue. A political thriller, Anonymous makes a case for a rather unorthodox theory about the identity of the man who wrote Shakespeare’s plays if it wasn’t the man himself.
