Marvel dropped a cover today for November’s Astonishing X-Men #44, which debuts the new creative team of Greg Pak and Mike McKone. Now, Astonishing hasn’t exactly been the bastion of continuity, and has easily been the most skippable book in the line for a while now, but that might just change.
On top of the hook up cover right there, Pak confirms that this book is post Schism, which would lead someone like me to believe that this book might actually matter as it could be the Cyclops book that part of me assumed we weren’t getting. I mean, what with the teaser covers not featuring him, and the claw marks on the visor, I thought he could have died!
But no, he just hooks up with Storm.
