It was pretty clear that this season of So You Think You Can Dance was Melanie Moore’s to lose. The dancer was universally praised every week and was asked to not only joined the reboot of Kenny Ortega’s Dirty Dancing but was also basically offered a job by Lady Gaga when she was a guest judge.
When the dust had settled and the confetti had fallen from the ceiling with Melanie being announced as America’s Favourite Dancer, I had the opportunity to talk to her about the win. We discussed when she knew she had it and if she is the most famous short-haired girl in the world now. I also got the winner of So You Think You Can Dance to teach me a quick dance move.
