Brightest Day Character To Get Television Series On The CW

News

With Smallville having come to a close after it’s ten year run on the network, The CW (formerly The WB) has been looking for a similar project to replace it, and it looks like they’ve found success. Supernatural creator Eric Kripke will be writing an executive producing the next DC comic based show on the network….Deadman.

Deadman is the story of a circus daredevil named Boston Brand, who is murdered, but then whose spirit is not allowed to rest in peace. Instead, his ghostly form inhabits the bodies of the living to solve mysteries and save more lives. His powers come from the Hindu Goddess Rama Kushma, and Boston has long been tied to Nanda Parbat, where Rama Kushna tends to reside in her ethereal glory.

Kripke was tapped for the series due in combination to Supernatural being their longest still running drama on the network, as well as the obvious connections between a supernatural show and a story about a ghost who possesses the living.
