Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has announced that the third and final season of fan favorite Lindsay Wagner 1970s Bionic Woman TV series will come out on DVD on October 4, 2011. It will have 5 discs covering the season’s 22 episodes, plus some bonus features, with a suggested retail price of $39.98.

Looks like my Fall 2011 prediction came true. Christmas comes early… in just over over a month! :) No word on whether a fourth DVD set for the Bionic Woman is expected that includes the three TV movies that followed the ending of both the Six Million Dollar Man and Bionic Woman TV series.
The Bionic Woman Season 3 DVD set will go nicely with the complete Six Million Dollar Man mega DVD set from Time Life. Interestingly, the last disc case in the Time Life Six Million Dollar / Bionic Man has the three TV movies that featured both Steve Austin and Jamie Sommers that I mentioned earlier. Since Universal and Time Life have an agreement to share the respective series’ cross-over episodes, there “may” be a fourth Bionic Woman DVD set with the TV movies OR fans may have to wait until Time Life’s eventual season-by-season release of the Six Million Dollar Man DVDs (which has only released so far in one omnibus form online) capped off with the Bionic TV movies DVD package.
All-in-all good Bionic news here. Bionic Woman Season 3 will complete my collection nicely. Anyone else picking it up?
