Marvel Comics Relaunch? Uncanny X-Force’s Dark Angel Saga Its Flashpoint For Change From POINT ONE?

News, Top Story

Marvel Comics takes the baton from DC Comics and tries a different way to build excitement for comic books with intriguing teasers by the comic industry creative favorites. A massive 64-page one-shot sets up several stories for 2012 Marvel. Cool!

“POINT ONE is a massive one-shot of 64 all-new pages of story by the top creators in the business, setting the stage for the biggest stories coming in 2012. It is the starting point to what’s in store for the world’s most iconic characters and startling events. POINT ONE serves as the launch pad for dynamic new series, including one that spins directly out of the smash hit ‘Dark Angel Saga’ in UNCANNY X-FORCE,and a shocking teaser that will have everyone talking. See how all it comes together in one gigantic epic!” – Tom Brevoort, Senior Vice President, Executive Editor

I’m curious about what the event is at the end of that Uncanny X-Force that kicks off all of these distinct yet interconnected (somehow?) storylines together.

And, how does that old future Marvel timeline from Avengers play into this (see below left image)? You’ll notice close to the right hand side there is a big bang with Kang’s name around it. He’s a time villain. Does Point One lead to a realignment of Marvel’s timeline a la DC’s Comics Relaunch New 52 which started with Flashpoint?
