File This Under Duh! Hasbro In Talks For A Fourth Transformers Movie

News, Projects

During a third-quarter earnings conference call on Monday, Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner relayed discussions he’s had with studio partner Paramount, director Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg about a potential fourth Transformers movie.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Goldner also said that Hasbro continues to develop entertainment projects based on its brands – despite some delays and challenges. “We continue to actively develop a number of additional Hasbro films with great partners and writers, including Micronauts, Ouija, Candyland, Risk, Stretch Armstrong, Clue and Monopoly.”

He also insists that Hasbro would not employ a Marvel strategy to produce its own movies.

Hasbro hopes to launch a new franchise with Universal Pictures with the release of Battleship enters waters on May 18, 2012. (Watch the teaser.)
