NYCC: X-Men Regenesis Wrap Up – Age Of Apocalypse Ongoing, New X-Men Legacy Writer, And More!

Media, News

It was a big weekend for the X-Men. Regenesis came out on Wednesday, so Marvel obviously had some important information to share at the convention over the weekend. Here are some highlights.

An Uncanny X-Men cover reveal shows our new Juggernaut, Colossus, fighting what appears to be the Phalanx.

Veteran X-writer Mike Carey is ending his run on X-Men Legacy with Decembers #260, but now we know who’s coming next. Starting with #260.1 in January, writer Christos Gage (Avengers Academy, Angel and Faith) and artist David Baldeon (Young Allies, Giant Size Avengers Academy) will be taking over the title.

Spinning out of Rick Remender’s “Dark Angel Saga” in Uncanny X-Force will be the new Age of Apocalypse ongoing series by David Lapham (Stray Bullets, Young Liars, Deadpool Max) and Roberto De La Torre (Daredevil, Thunderbolts). This will be launching out of the Point One one shot.

Brian Wood’s return to Marvel will start with a miniseries called Wolverine and the X-Men: Alphas and Omegas, which will feature art by Mark Brooks and Roland Boschi and will feature Wolverine and Kid Omega in a confrontation almost entirely on Quentin’s terms.

Wolverine #300 by Jason Aaron is approaching soon, I wonder how long the numbering will last.

Despite joining the Avengers Academy later this year, X-23 will still have her monthly book by Marjorie Liu and it will continue doing ties across the Marvel Universe. She promises that a babysitting gig for the Fantastic Four will go terribly wrong. Given her handling of the team over the past few issue, I can not wait.

Deadpool will DIE in issue #50, but given that it’s Deadpool, that’s only the beginning.
