Indianapolis Colts vs Tennessee Titans: NFL Week 8 Thoughts

Colts 10 – Titans 27

Daniels finds the Colts fascinating: “You know the really scary part for the Colts?  They really only have two winnable games on their schedule and they’re both against Jacksonville.  Regardless of whether or not they finish fulldefeated, their draft next year will be fascinating.  With Peyton, they need fresh receivers and offensive line manpower.  Or they can take Luck.  Or they can trade Luck.”

But Rhett Davis just sounds bored: “Two games played between the AFC South this week.  The Colts without Peyton Manning are just pathetic.  This is why you don’t plan your team around one player.  No matter how Peytony the Manning may be.  Not too much to say about this game except that the Colts’ offense is tired and looking worse and worse each week. The Titans sometimes look like a threat and then others don’t like a threat for anything.  This was an easy win for the Titans… as most of Colts’ opponents games with them will be.”

My Take: I’m rooting for the Colts to get the #1 pick, just because they easily have the most interesting scenario in that case, and as they’re an AFC team, my Packers wouldn’t have to worry about Luck in the playoffs… I’m having nightmares enough with Cam Newton around.  The Titans aren’t really good, but they’re just good enough to beat most bad teams and an occasional good one. On a down year, in a weak division, they may be able to backdoor their way into a playoff spot.
